Curriculum vitae
Dr. Ludo Verougstraete (born 1957), married with three children, did his medical studies at the Catholic University of Leuven. He is a vascular-pulmonary surgeon with training in Bruges, Geneva, and Leuven.
From 1988 until 1994, he was a part-time staff member in thoracic surgery at the University Hospitals in Leuven. Since 1990, he has been associated with Vesalius General Hospital in Tongeren, the Sint Trudo Regional Hospital in Sint-Truiden, and the Salvator General Hospital in Hasselt as a vascular-pulmonary surgeon.
He also serves as a consulting thorax surgeon at the Sint-Franciscus Hospital in Heusden Zolder and the Maas and Kempen Hospital in Maaseik.
He enjoys sharing his very extensive experience in the surgical treatment of vascular and pulmonary diseases with his associates Jean Pierre-Lacquet and Gerrit Koppert.
