Curriculum vitae
Dr. Frédéric Libeer (born 1976), married, two children, did his medical studies at the Catholic University of Leuven from 1994 to 2001. Between 2001 and 2007 he pursued surgical training at Dendermonde, Wilrijk and the University of Leuven. He pursued special skills in vascular surgery from 2007 to 2009 at Leuven, Bonheiden and Hasselt with special interests in endovascular treatments.
Since 2009 he has been associated as a vascular and thoracic surgeon in the St-Trudo hospital in Sint-Truiden. He also serves as a consultant for the Vesalius General Hospital in Tongeren and in the Jessa Hospital in Hasselt.
He has collaborated in various studies for the advancement of the quality and development of stents and he is familiar with the most recent endovascular and endovenous techniques (laser therapy and ablation).
He provides access-surgery for pacemakers and access-surgery for renal failure and intrathoracic thyroids. He also works together with Professor Lauwereyns, spine surgeon, for the anterior approach in abdominal and thoracic surgery.
He works in association with the colleagues Dr. Verougstraete, Dr. Lacquet and Dr. Koppert.
